What Happens After It Breaks

PC: Speedland

This film isn’t about distance. It’s about collapse.

BROKEN follows Cam Hanes through 250 miles at Cocodona—a course known for long stretches of heat, elevation, and silence. His foot’s already broken. His hands are swollen. He hasn’t slept in days. The camera keeps rolling. Sometimes he’s silent. Sometimes he’s angry. Sometimes he’s just trying to take the next step.

There’s no arc. No big finish. Just a slow unraveling and the decision to keep moving anyway.

If you’ve been in this sport long enough, you know what that looks like. Maybe not at mile 200, but somewhere. That moment where effort stops feeling noble and starts feeling like survival. That’s what this film captures.

It’s not a hype piece. It’s a question.

When it breaks, who are you?
