Sound, Light, Motion

PC: Nash Howe

I first came across Nash Howe through the trail world. Between his apparel brand, Currently Running, and his work behind the camera, his name shows up often—and for good reason. His images don’t just promote movement. They carry it. There’s rhythm in how he sees the world.

His Instagram and recent Chamonix deck tell that story clearly. The light, the texture, the way everything feels intentional—it’s not content for clicks. It’s visual memory.

But it wasn’t until I stumbled on his music that something clicked a little deeper.

In 2023, Nash released an album called Divided. He describes his sound as textured and atmospheric, often blending traditional orchestral tones with analogue synthesis to create something raw and cinematic. That comes through here. You can hear the throughline from his film work to his songwriting. It’s all part of the same vision.

My own path has taken different forms. These days I work as an advocate and attorney. I write. I run. I build. But I started in music—and it’s never really left. So when I hear someone who works across motion and sound and doesn’t need to separate them, it inspires me.

This is not a review. Just a nod to someone doing layered, meaningful work in this space. And a reminder that you don’t have to choose between your creative instincts and your endurance. Sometimes they come from the same place.
